@Flying Lizard: They are called accents, afair.
But usually written french can live without them, they didn't define the words meaning, just their pronounciation.
The cedille (that weird c, I can't type it, sry) is more important, but there is enough place for it
Right !
Like bizzl says, the accents are not very important. But it is the same thing for the cedilla: A boy can be written "garçon" or "garcon". If it is grammatically inaccurate, in a game it is less shocking that a spelling mistake.
However, in spite of the care that I took, I perhaps seized unconsciously some accents or the cedillas in my translations.
Actually, I have successfully translated Menu, Option, skills and the tutorial level.

I can recommend à toi Omni Replace for checking wether you have or not.
In case your fingers have slipped a lot of times, you can also replace all particular characters comfortably with it.
And I can give you an advice from the time when I made the Stranded II English Mod (which the offic. English version of today is based on):
Test it really, really carefully! You won't believe what mistakes you can make if you work long hours.
Better invest several days in double-checking an apparently perfect final version than be sorry afterwards.
Thanks for your advices EwokChieftain. I take note of this.
I would take a look to Omni replace.
I promise to do my best for this translation. I don't work on it several hours consecutively and If it is possible, I test the result of my translation immediately.
Sure, I would check the result again and again before declaring that it is full translated because I can do mistakes myself, bad translation because I am a new user of Stranded 2 (and 1 too :D).
But I think to put a beta version to allow everybody to test this translation.
Edit: Even if it is more fast, I prefer to not use Omni replace because I think it would probably replace other things that strings in the scripts - i.e: comments, variable, functions, etc...
I think that I would only use it for searching accents and cedillas
Yes, I'm french and yes you can use it to learn my language
But keep in mind that Stranded 2 can't displays french accents (àâéèëêoôù) and the famous c cedilla (ç)...
Well french too and give a try at translating some string for test... And sorry to see that our é,ê...Ect do not display correctly...
But really hope that DC will give us support for that because stranded really need this french translation... I don't know BB very well but sure that it would not be very hard to give a favorable issue for this problem.
Well as you have allready started Starcom i will be happy to help you translating all of that. I think it will not be that hard but will just take time. If you think i can join you let me know!
Well hope to read you soon and would be proud to give Stranded 2 a french localization because this game need it.
Hello french people!
Like Dicker said it would be cool to use english language here.
Starcom and I will soon start the translation of the game.
Starcom have already started and have done a great job.
We are going to do all is possible to make the project come true.
And we must respect DC and the english community forum
else they will kick us
Maybe a French part of the board could be created for the french people who play stranded?
Voila thanks for reading and see you!
Content de voir des post francais quand même!
