Stranded II unoptimized/lagging for Windows 11
2 replies It seems like whenever I try to play Stranded II, the whole things starts lagging like hell when the GUI appears on Adventure mode. My laptop is relatively competent so this 20 year old game should be causing any trouble but it is. Whats your specs and system? Is your game runing on dedicated GPU or integrated? Direct Play installed? Try running in windowed mode DC Admin

The problem is that the game is quite old and based on DirectX 7 which isn't properly supported anymore and therefore very slow.
Trying compatbility modes that Windows provides for running executables may improve the performance a bit in some cases.
