So what game is better?Minecraft or Call of Duty? and why i made this thread?its becouse all of my friends just play COD and when they see me play Minecraft they just make fun that the game is for kids and its lego and stuff and i wanna teach them that Minecraft is a good game and its popular as COD
Mw3 is a great first person shooter, there are so many shooters like it that it's hard to tell them apart.
Minecraft to me is really only fun when in survival mode or online where I can check out other people's creations.
The people who actually make great creations are using worldedit or a third party problem, it's basically 3d pixel art, which is much simpler than say vector or 3d modeling.
So I don't think "creativity" can be a valid argument.
This poll is as relevant as comparing Boats with PS3s. Both games are good, but it depends on what COD you are talking about. If your talking about COD1, or MW1 then yeah, COD is good, but if your gonna say MW3 is great, you haven't played a real game. Every time someone says MW3 is realistic I tell them to look up America's Army 3. Being a game developed, BY the military it's a perfect showcase for realistic gameplay. (It's pretty fun in my opinion too)
How exactly is a poll that isn't reaching a large majority going to mean anything anyway? You might as well just change the title to "What games do the users of Unreal Software.de like to play more, CoD or Minecraft?".
How the fuck can you compare totally different genres? You can't tell which one is better because they don't have any common points. And even if you were able to it would still be a matter of perspective.
It's like trying to compare apples and kites.
These kind of threads should be insta-trashed and the creators slapped across the face for being either hopelessly stupid or trying to start shit storms.
What's ironic is that even if they were the same genre it would still be bias and exactly the problem if they were not.
Personally I don't think minecraft as a game:
survival is kinda boring alone, and you can't win
not to say games that you can't win aren't games though, but in this case it's not much fun once you are safe and you have the supplies you need
chatting is a social element, every game has it, but having it doesn't make it a game
checking out creations is like viewing art online
and building your own creations is like 3d drawing but heavily restricted, it's fun to mess with WorldEdit, but that's the same fun as messing with flash, sketchup, or paint, these aren't games
The differences are a little large aren't they...?
How about:
Call of Duty vs Medel of Honor vs Battlefield
Minecraft vs Terraria
Do you get what I'm getting at?
i know but read carefully what i wrote it said quote:all of my friends just play COD and when they see me play Minecraft they just make fun that the game is for kids and its lego and stuff and i wanna teach them that Minecraft is a good game and its popular as COD
