Off Topic Run Run Run! Run Run Run!
10 replies Hey guys, after being inactive due to something , I came up with an idea, In Run Run Run! you play the part of a charecter you name and customize, and you basically...run!
You are being chased by one of 4 people: Thugs, Police, Military, Aliens!
In one of 4 locations: Runoff island, Jail Runner, Secret base, and the moon!
The chasers eventully aquire the ability to use guns, which can kill you depending which body part they hit, later, rifles, and even rockets, but they start off with melee, and you can pick up their weapons, kick them, punch them, or throw stuff at them, its either 3rd person or 1st person, 5 difficulties, very easy, easy, medium, hard, and extreme, and also 5 lengths, sprint, short, medium, long, and marathon, the engine will propably be something like source, and let there be traps! and some shelters where you can temporarily hide, if you have any questions, or suggestions, please reply! Wait... this is a game or a lua suggestion? kinda impossible for lua having 3rd and 1st person Why would this have anything to do with Lua? Is there any context that suggests that? Well, if it was, it would have been in the CS2D section.
So, I think this is an idea for a game, but why tell us?
You want someone to make this?
Very small for a game though.. Bloodshot, no, there isn't, but as Yates say'd, it's too small for a game, so i tough it was a lua suggestion well I do want to make this, I found nothing similar online, and I'm a big fan of parkour, free running and such, and BTW I didnt say it was for lua, its for source, or maybe something like U3 engine For Source you need the Source SDK and to know C++ (I believe). This game sounds like real fun.
@Sunny Autumn, you also need some knowledge in LUA (yup, it's pretty much everywhere out there) @Arne:
Actually Lua is not a default programming/scripting language in the U3 Engine's dev kit, it is only a plugin which comes with it by default and is therefore used in a lot of games made with the U3 SDK. Well, apparently there are lots of choices for the engine, which doesnt matter, however, I think U3 or U2 would be good, because they feature Lua script and are somewhat easy to use, the game doesnt have to have great graphics, I mean its a game about running for god sake! Well, I would recommend using id Tech 3 then. It is quite old, but does it's job done, and is free. I've never used any engines, so can't say, But you still must know C/C++. Or you could learn Java (for example) and make your own engine, but it will be difficult.
