English Stranded II causing bluescreen

I've played Stranded II over the past several months without a hitch, and I loved every second of it. But I recently upgraded my PC, got a new motherboard, processor, videocard, and matching RAM, and I thought everything was hunky-dory as everything else I ever did on my computer was running faster and smoother having kept the same version of XP running the machine.

That even applied to this game. Yet now I discovered only after I exit Stranded II, and just Stranded II: I get a bluescreen of death followed fast by my computer rebooting. I've uninstalled and reinstalled it, but the same thing keeps happening after I quit the game.

I'm at a loss, and I can't see that any post on the forum here pertains to this problem.

I found the idea of it being a hardware fault off, as every other program and game I execute and terminate doesn't have this issue. Just to be sure I tried to reseat the RAM several times. It didn't solve the problem: I verified it three times.

Its gotta be something software or Hardware. cause i had the same sorda thing. i reinstalled twice thinking its software trying difrent chip set and graphics drivers. Only them drivers. with direct x of course. so i said screw it and i reinstalled windows 7 and i havnt had a problem yet.

a little slower then it should be but it works.

My videocard is a Nvidia GeForce8100, and I've upgraded to DirectX9c with it.

I guess I'm willing to give reinstalling it a shot.

After reinstalling my video drivers I'm having the same problem when I close the game. Is there any known conflict between DX9c and Stranded II?

From what I can see before my computer reboots it lists off 4 low hex-numbers 0x00000050, 0x00000001, and others. A couple results suggest I install some kind of memory manager/buffer program.

I guess I'll give that a go.
