I've compiled a list to show you how i figured it out.
Half-Life 1998
Half-Life 2 2004
HL2: EP1 2006
HL2: EP2 2007
As You Can See, every 6 years Half-Life Series Get released.
Now, to tell you why EP1 & 2 are made in 3 years.. because their chapters are LOW.
So, from 2007, add +6 years, 2013. let's wait there and see for our selves.
Damn it i cant wait for it to get released.
EDIT: I heard that the HL2 voice producer died in 2007. so maybe we won't have.. Ep3.

The voice actor for Dr.Breen died, also breen dies at the end of half life 2.
IGN says that there will be no trailers and demos for the game and the game is not canceled! It is not Episode 3 by the way. They changed the name to Half Life 3 and it IS going to be on Source engine. Release's date is unknown because Valve is currently working on DOTA 2 or whatever that game called. So well learn how to use GOOGLE!
