The defence tower, is it gone? or du i have to make something to unlock it?
btw, any1 have a list of combinations for this mod? edited 1×, last 16.11.09 04:03:50 pm
I have found a possible bug...Pottery, no matter how high the skill is, the only thing I can make are clay bottles.
Is this by design, or are there supposed to be other items available? I seems by the diary entry for pottery that there are other items you can make by the level of your skill or experimenting. I have tried probably a hundred different combinations and all I'm able to make are clay bottles.
Please advise.
Also just wanted to note, Usually I am holding several pieces of clay at a time (around 20 or so). It only takes 2 pieces of clay to make a bottle. Are you supposed to be able to make other items, based on the amount of clay you have? Knightshadow has written

Gunpowder, I think, but that is from the older version. I'm not sure if it still presists
Gunpowder still works, you just need charcoal, sulfur (found from mining black rocks), and potassium nitrate (found from mining brown rocks).
I haven't quite figured out how to make the black powder keg at this point though.
What do i do with the gunpowder? dynamite?? if i can make bombs, do i blow holes in the ground? If yes: is it posible to add bridre so i can make some protection(blow holes to a isle and add a bridge so its easier to protect my self? wiwas mus ich hir machen ] Admin/mod comment

Why do u pushing up?
He pushed properly, because he made another question instead of simply editing one letter or saying "nobody here!?". Lar5 has written

Gunpowder lets you make bombs, blackpowder kegs, and other explosives. The combination is Charcoal + Sulfur (small chance from most rocks) + Saltpeter (small chance from most rocks).
Yes, explosives modify the ground. A shovel\spade will as well.
And yes, you can make bridges. I think it's tied to the fishing skill though, so that will probably need to be changed.

Originally you could make a number of things with pottery (such as plates and bowls) but I removed them. I'll probably add in more items for pottery eventually. How about adding a swimming skill?
the more time you spend in water the more skill you get
it could enable you to swim faster and breathe longer
and also making bridges? Builder2-0,
I'm continuing to play the massive mod with great enthusiasm. I really like some of the things you have implemented. I have found some things that may or may not be bugs and also some possible suggestions for improvement.
With the planting skill, I have noticed that the planting level does not correspond to the diary entries for that skill. For example, after planting 75 items you get the skill improvement "glow" from the ground and message "planting skill improved". However the diary entry only lists skill improvements for 25, 50, 100, etc.
Also, I had a suggestion for the mining skill. Instead of an increase in skill each time you hit a black rock (gold, copper, coal, iron, etc), would it be possible to only increase the skill each time you find one of the minerals being mined. That would at least balance the skill with the effort.
Finally, I have noticed a huge lack of sulfur when mining. After a couple of days in the game, having mined several large boulders, I only received about 4 sulfur crystals. I lost count of the number of boulders I was mining after I reached 30, however I continued to mine the boulders for several days. In addition, I would strike each boulder at least 50 times. This is a huge effort with very little return. I wouldn't make it unusually easy to gain sulfur, however at the current level, it is extremely difficult to gain sulfur.
Thanks in advance for your consideration, and keep up the good work!! Spawning! Instead of checking to see if the spawn's unit is gone, perhaps it could just make one a day [or two] anyway [until it reaches a reasonable limit like, say, 10 units from its spawn alone]. This way, it would 'persuade' someone to quickly build a shelter before the lions accumulate. To prevent overcrowding of units, maybe there could be a reasonable amount of units produced from spawns over reasonable periods of time such as one lion every other day. Plus, it would be great if, when starting a random island, lions and things numbered at least three per spawn point.
Another slightly related suggestion: perhaps you could make the lions move away from their spawn. I've noticed that the lions usually circle around their birthplace and, thus, are not that great of a threat to someone who has moved to some corner of the island where there are few, if any, lions to pressure the player. Same goes for sharks, which tend to stay in one area.
That's all I got for today. Thanks in advance. I don't know if somebody already said that, but when I combine hammer+coconut+clay bottle it just takes the bottle but I don't get the coconut milk. I've been playing S2 and Massive Mod for quite some time, this latest update has made grilling impossible, the Grill is 100% non-solid, my "player" and food goes right through even the previous solid parts now. (and I throw em way to "hard", what am I doing, throwing steak like a football?)
I downloaded fresh S2 for new version
is there a way to make the grill 100% solid or something? Dontar has written

...the *player* goes straight through the grill? I figured it out somewhat..I had rotated the grill to make it "nice and neat" with the layout of my camp, and I guess it broke whatever made the grill model solid, I made a new grill after making a treehouse / new campfire and it was all right, food hit it and stayed on it normally like before.
so apparantly, rotating the grill is a big NONO...>_>
(kinda had to start a new adventure after getting bored, I used debug mode to give myself enough butterflies to hold rocket launcher and rockets and blew up half the island) Dontar has written

...Huh. That's interesting. I've never rotated the grill before.
A question to anyone who has ever had food fall through the grill:
Did you rotate the grill when you built it? come to think of it that what i did ...well its perfectly easy not to rotate the grill. Yes, i have rotated. And meat fall through gril. Also on too even ground OMG... in Adventure Mode, at Island 1, I found the map, but when I go dig with my spade it just lowers and lowers the floor.
I lowered all around the spot, but it even reached water in the bottom of the island and nothing!
I've already played Adventure mode in original SII and reached Island 5 or something like that that guy is stranded on a little island and needs iron.
Now I can't even complete Adventure Mode in SII:MM!
Can you fix it or give me a solution...?
