I don't know if MODS, for any game, are going anywhere today. You see Masive Mod? Discontinued. Alot of JO MODS. Discontinued. I wonder what the chances are of which we make somthing of this. Well, if we do, we entertain alot of people.
You know Counterstrike? Was just a Mod for Half-Life when it was started (and still is, I think)
There were a couple of other game mods which are pretty popular, too.
Sure, there are some mods where development ceased, but that happens to most projects anyway, especially if they were maintained by a single person or a small group

Where did all of our effots go? I'm trying to make a mod and I've finished the very alpha first part of it, it's just an island with different biomes and some monsters (http://ul8.rapidshare.de/cgi-bin/upload.cgi?rsuploadid=150051418983450871) and I want to work further, it may take my summer.
The main problem for me are models. I'm not a modeller at all and I can just scale/merge some models. I've included some free models found in the internet for my mod but I'd like to have more material for work.
Is it possible for you to release your current mod as it is?
Will you be able to share the models you've done (all credits everywhere will go to you). I ask it because I have enough time in this summer and desire.
It's a pity so many nice models are not avaliable for the community...

Sorry, but I didn't want to register on that form, so i'll post it here. I browsed through what you said, nice map. You also said that the If can't be more than 255. Actually, it can. Go to game.Inf and it says
limit_objects=500
limit_units=500
limit_items=255
(Or somthing like that, i've already messed with the numbers)
Change those numbers to whatever you want.

I guess I'll release the models which I made sometime tomorrow (or maybe after if I'm lazy) seeing as someone wants them.
But remember that I don't have GolemCC's models, so don't bother asking.
I was making my own mod, I got fustrated and deleted a lot of stuff. I tried again and something else would stop me. I find it difficult to complete anything really, but you seem like a strong willed person...
