Hello there, I am here to ask, how'd the Kar98K eject the bullet when it is fired? Like pulling the bolt and the bullet comes out? How?
Just curious about this, ty for reading.

Google is your helping friend
But i allways thought that it is ejected by a little pin or something, when you pull the trigger that pin hits the back of the bullet and in the back it has some wierd stuff that explodes and fires it?

If I'm correct it's a bolt-action rifle.
So basically this is what happens:

1. The person clips in the magazine ( cartridge ) which usually holds between 3 and 10 rounds.

2. The person dis-engages the bolt and pulls it backward

3. The spring in the magazine ( cartridge ) pushes the rounds toward the top of the magazine wherethere is now a large gapping hole for the round to enter through, which means it goes up and no where else.

4. The person re-engages the bolt, which means the area where the previous bolt was ejected ( usually on the right side slightly downward facing and smaller than the hole where the round enters from the cartridge ) and where rounds can enter from the cartridge closes up which means the gasses and force created by the explosion in the shell of the cartridge cannot go anway but where the bullet head is, thus pushing it forward.

5. The person dis-engages the bolt and the previous round's shell ( casing ) is ejected.

Now the reason the cartridge doesn't just empty it self out when you dis-engage the bolt is because the round is larger that when it is after is fired, and the smaller, downward facing hole makes it impossible for the new round to slip through.

Now, if that was not a bolt-action rifle, tell me and I will give you more infomation on the correct form.

EDIT: And yeah, btw, this is an older type of bolt action from 1932, so yeah, there are other methods, here's one:

1. The person draws the bolt back and the spring in the cartridge puches the next round into it's grip.

2. The person pushes the bolt forward and clips the new round into a place that is further ahead which gives it a completely sealed chamber that cannot fault.

3. The gun fires

4. He pulls back on the bolt and it pulls the bullet's shell with it, letting it eject the way in the previous method.

Etc etc etc

There are many different types of bolt action things.

More modern rifles, like my dad's, eject the empty shell automatically after firing. But you are right in everything there, very nice.
