Im pretty good at modelling, and i have 3dsmax 2011 + milkshape and others.
Can somebody tell me how to change the model in Stranded 2 like the tree, monkey, palm, lion etc?
Im tryin to make it more HD, i could do it easily.
or make it boxy, like minecraft?
yeah, you just have to look into the gfx-folder where all the models are saved and then you have to replace the old models with new ones with the same name and format.
if you want to, you can also change the name and the format of the models in the description files (.inf) in the sys-folder but thats kinda unnecessary and just more work to do.
when opening the models in milkshape3d as a .ms3d model, you can also see which textures the model uses. they have to be in the same folder in which the models are (gfx) and you dont need to write the textures into the definiton files in S2 because they are linked with the model file automatically.
working formats for models in S2 are .b3d , .3ds and .x but .3ds sometimes has problems with the texture(s) and doesnt support animations for units and .x isnt really being used by any S2-modifier, as far as I know, so .b3d is the most common format.
I'd also like to give you the advice to be careful when using HD-models because of the polygon-number. S2 sure can handle more polygons in the models than the models in the default version of S2 provide, but when there are too many polygons that have to be rendered the game will start to lag.
