its like "well you did your own map but models images textures etc. everything is not yours".
also most game enginies suck, because you often cant edit the things like yout want them to be.
but okay if you want to do this do it. but be sure if you want to do a project like this. for a first Project its jsut TOO HUGE.

for weeks? It took years(or atleast month's) to program an engine like this (with shadows, water effects etc.).
But you learn AND program it in less then a month?

Anyway, it look's great. It would be awesome to survive in a jungle like the one you showed in the vid.
But im only gonna play it when it's an ".exe" (or is ziped or anything like this.)(;

Edit: 1st Person would be great!

And I've been studying stranded 2 (unfortanitly I cannot understand German commands so I'm helpless in that area) for over a year... and I still can't script HALF as good as builder or Vectar666...

I do almost all my scripting by coping and then adjusting... if you handed me a sheet of blank paper and told me to script an item to be ammo for another weapon... I would be lost...

I might get the item, but I wouldn't get anything after (script=start)


And I totally flunked in the editor as far as scripting goes...





And another example, I wanted to make a trade menu for civilination, (one of my mods, currently under ban cause I used other peoples models) it took me 3 weeks to make a correct trade menu...


Stranded 2 is not something you learn overnight. Stranded 2 is something you learn by painfully trying and testing and retrying your way through every single thing that might be new to you and even through things that aren't new.


And don't get me started on Blitz 3D...


All I can say is, if I actually saw DC face to face, I would probably give him a huge hug, and I might even donate to him... (through the internet donating though is out of the question) Cause all the pain and hardship he must have gone through to make this game, is unimaginable.

And this game, is unique in every aspect of its gameplay. And if anybody has found a game that even starts to rival this game's entertainment ability, mod ability, and thrilling experience.

I must say, tell me!
