Here's a Windows client pre-release for the upcoming CS2D 1.0.0.4 with a huge list of changes.

• Please extract to a SEPARATE new folder
• You won't see servers in the server list with this release
• Joining only works in LAN / manually via IP

Some ∗ HIGHLIGHTS ∗

• user SQ made HUD elements and texts scale smoothly with the resultion. He also added TONS of new options related to this. High res icons by user smn.

• user SQ also added some weird stuff like *cough* voice chat and also spectator cursors or something like this... - no comment -

• user smn improved some of the maps. They look even more amazing now!

• I made a new scoreboard! It's (very) loosely based on the CS:S scoreboard and makes better use of the 16:9 resolution by using a 2 column layout. Also changing scores and getting killed lets the values flash for a short time so it's easier to see whats going on. Thanks to user smn for the nice skull icon

• I made the voting system a lot more fancy. You can now see the votes and you can actually see all maps in the map cycle you can vote for. You can also vote for ALL players now instead of teammates only (lets see if this gets abused a lot?!).

• And a lot more! Take a look at the change log for details!

Why lock it at 60FPS? That's not even half of refresh rate on most monitors.

Edit: I've just tested it at 1600x900 directx 32bits.

Result:
Huge input lag, new score board.

That's odd, actually I did found 20ms input delay in previous versions and fixed it. It should be more smooth now.

DC, my friend, u are lucky to have simonas in ur crew. I see great future of cs2d in Steam. (With competitive mode in cs2d itself tho, it is rly necessary.

Nice work! Finally you can see cs2d are changing for real! I can't wait until this game launches on steam!

But before that i found some bugs or error that seems don't work properly.

I don't know if you missed it or it is already fixed, but i give it a try and ask once again. Have you fixed the sv_stopsound which didn't works?

@user SQ: Does this actually mean that the game logic is no longer bound to the FPS and
cs2d lua hook always is now triggerred every 16.6ms? (welcome server lags for the poorly written scripts)
cs2d lua cmd timer resolution is also bound to the frame ticks? (DC answered recently that it's fixed 20ms)

Lua stuff is not changed

Though most of other game logic stuff does not depend on FPS
