cannot not get the water pump to work at all spawed at least 3 water rocks, pressed every button while having the crosshairs on it, even turned one into a forge, and still no luck. anyone got it working in this vers?
It's been a while since I played but I think you're supposed to put the water pump on a regular small rock (meaning before you would hammer it into a water rock.)

I'm currently working on my Associates in Science. I'll have it at the end of next quarter. Until I do, I'm taking 26 credits a quarter of classes designed to make people weep. Calculus, linear algebra, chemistry, engineering physics, statics, dynamics, mechanics and materials.
MM is not dead-- it's the project I return to during summers and breaks for a nice rest, something easy to code in my free time.
Look back through the thread. There are always long periods of inactivity. *shrug*
I will point out one thing:
Stranded II is old. It doesn't work very well on Vista, and Windows 7 outright kills it for most people. If DC releases a Stranded III, believe me, I will port over the ideas and content in MM.

Seriously? That stuff's easy. You should try quantum physics based chemistry. That was a real challenge. I don't know if I have enough time on my hands to tutor you in basic stuff like statistics and calculus, though.
shut up and stop acting like the boss of everyone
1: the clay cooking pot allows unlimited drinking, and also it doesn't need the fire to be on.
2. Coffee would need water to be used, when crushing the beans near the fire
3. Bamboo makes wheat grain when it is used?
4. Silica dust allows for unlimited glass making at the fire, it never runs out
5. Distiller only produces salt, no fresh water. Also doesn't distill grain water
6. I think the dough should be edible. If you can eat insects, slime, grains, and raw potato you should be able to eat dough.
7. The bamboo states that it is a fuel but it is not accepted by the fire.
8. Achievements are messed up
9. Minor: the grape juice is called Wine (average)
10. Minor: When the axe head becomes dull, the whole axe is seperated (I have to put all the pieces (nails, handle and head) back together)
11. Minor: I don't no how you would do this, but the hand torch should need fuel
12. Minor: Why does log boat require 5 logs when it looks like 1 log.
13: Minor: the bread takes a bit too long to cook
Finally, I would like to explain my suggestion on how chocolate should be made:
1st: crack the pod (which should not be edible) with a stone to produce 25 (or 5 bunches of 5) cocoa beans. - Edible but not satisfying
2nd: Roast the beans to produce roasted cocoa beans (you would have 25). -Edible but not satisfying
3rd: Crush the roasted beans to make chocolate paste/liquor (You need 5 roasted cocoa beans, or 1 bunch per chocolate paste) You would get 5 pastes total.
4th: mix the paste with milk and sugar to make milk chocolate paste and heat this to make milk chocolate or heat the chocolate liquor by itself to make dark chocolate. You would need 2 chocolate liquors for 1 bar. (2 bars if you used all of the liquors). Edible and satisfying.
just wanted to explain how it would be for the best realism. Instead of heating cocao powder?

I thought there was a fix...?
anyways, i thought i'd have a go at fixing some of the bugs that have been mentioned in the recent release.
i do so hopefully with concent of builder, im not taking any credit for the creation of the mod, im only trying to assist with fixing up these bugs.
i fixed the problem with the distiller not creating water, but im not sure how to upload the fix... any help would be greatly appreciated.
and if someone/ or some people could list the bugs so i can have a look see tha'd be great.
thanks guys, keep up the great work, its a great mod

I made list of the bugs I found above, Ill try to find more.
A few weeks ago I made my own personal patch to fix some of these bugs, I also made a model for nails since it was a bag and also made several new items for chocolate-making since I improved it to be more realistic (Cacao pod -> cocao beans -> cocao powder -> milk chocolate or chocolate). Ill be happy to upload this if builder allows.
However, I wasnt able to fix the distiller, so good job yates_rates. Hopefully builder will let you upload your fix.
edit: i have checked the grain water and it does distill.
im having a look at the bamboo and silica dust at the present
edit: bamboo = now usable as a fuel like its image implies
edit: silica = is no longer infinite.
im going to leave the bamboo createing grain, as im unsure its a bug. i would prefer it not to be there, but its up to builder
Update: new news, i THINK, massive emphasis on the think. think i have fixed your issue with crushing grapes into average wine. it now crushes to grape juice. i havnt checked whether the fermenting process is affected by this.
edit: the fermenting of wine works perfectly
