fuck why i bought l4d 2
next time ill ask here in the forum before im buying a game..
edit: lol its l4d1 omg .. still l4d2 game was boring like hell.. next time ill buy killing
left 4 dead in my opinion, is better.
killing floor is awesome too. duh.
but the hell, in KF they should make a single player mode!
btw, THAT would be challenging.
Dudes, I've played both and they're really fun... But the large difference is that the AI of Killing Floor is pretty much predictable, while in Left 4 Dead the Director always knows what to spawn and where to spawn them just to ruin your day (based on personal experience on Expert Parish)
Also for me, taking down Fleshpounds in ALOT easier than the Tank, in HOE 6-man I was Demolitions and just did 3 FPs in with 2 while magazines of M32 and about 5-8 M79 nades (With help from my team of course), but when facing 3 Tanks on Expert, you can't survive without escaping them... I know, I tried. The Tanks just punted me in a corner and got beaten up by them..
Also if you're pro in KF, the FP is rarely angry, but in L4D the Tank is always angry (while happily punting cars and throwing rocks at you)
Already replied to this thread, but last time I didn't have Killing Floor. A friend gifted me it, it's a really nice game, but it simply doesn't beat Left 4 Dead.
No, it's not because I'm biased and I spent more than 3000 hours in L4D2 (although I stopped playing last month), but because Killing Floor only has one gamemode... in L4D2 you can play as infected, in KF you can't. And the list goes on of things you can do in L4D2 that you can't in KF; which is bigger than what you can do in the latter compared to the first.
L4D is an Action Co-op and Killing Floor is more of a Wave Based Co-op Tactical Shooter. They're fairly different in their own respects. Though, personally. I'd say given the option between the two, I'd take L4D1. Though, KF2 is probably gonna take it when it releases. KF2 looks wonderful c:
Though, L4D2 is pretty bad. The AI is worse, the visuals are worse and for some reason that version of the engine doesn't run as well. The whole B 80's Zombie Movie feel just isn't there in L4D2 either. There's also way too many special infected. The AI director just spams them like a dumb kid trying to figure out an RTS game. It's not that they're hard to kill (Even on the hard difficulties) it's just that the AI director spawns so many of them that they become common. I only end up playing L4D2 because no one has L4D1 for some reason. ;n;
