DC you can read this and answer me?
Can you see that bots do not know how to destroy buildings, build or do not know how to respond and / or obey commands of the players on the radio as in the original Counter-Strike.
So I was thinking, it is possible to improve the bots?
Well, I do not know but there would anyone know?
DC? anyone. I want to play with bots on a map of CTF and I can play offline and can build and destroy the base of the bots!

DC's implemented Lua AI scripting for further CS2D versions.

Nobody knows when it will be ready.
So be patient, DC has said that he will make scriptable AI a lot of times already id just like to list a few extra improvements to the bots:
-cannot see wats in smoke
-can be flashed
-their aimbots are either TOO off or TOO accurate, there doesnt seem to be a middle way

-bots should build and destroy

yes, better and Lua scripted bots are planned. I mentioned that several times already.
however making bots construct buildings in a clever way is a very difficult task. I'm not sure if I'll ever try to realize that. construction is really a mode which should be played with and against real players... very cool, I can see that the buildings have to be made by an intelligent being to not be weird, but then only put a bot that knows how to build a turret and a dispenser near your flag is already okay.

Yes, of course. You can download a LUA from the File Archive that makes bots more like humans. I think its called PODbots or something. and using doors and teleports will be cool too. DC better change the advertisement on cs2d.com.

CS2D is not 3D, and the box cannot be rotate which is like faced northeast, southeast etc. Admin/mod comment
don't comment off-topic posts! /DC The bot AI must be improved, they shouldn't see the player if the player is hiding behind walls, although if the bot has seen a player behind a wall at a position the bot will know the players current position and make decisions between whether to move there or not, the decisions should be like; defend a bomb, defend a hostage or something like that although it will depend on the health of the bot aswell, if low on health the bot will choose more defensive options and the opposite if at over half health (customizable). If the player moves to another position undetected by the bot, the bot will still be looking towards the last known recorded position of the player and be in a overwatch kind of state.
I've been watching alot of ArmA 2 videos sorry, but some of this AI might get useful in CS2D.
AI bot profiles would be cool in CS2D just like it's done in Counter-Strike: Condition Zero there is different types of levels such as bravery, co-operativeness and combat skill with a certain weapon. There is also reaction time and delay time before attacking enemy player, perhaps that could be added to CS2D it would make the bots more customizable, well that's just my ideas. @KimKat: That's right! and can not forget of bots that knows how to use teleport!
nreal Software.de ROCKS! bots using tele would be imposible as it would create a situation where the bots will run for any random teleporter and keep doing it if the exit is near another teleporter ignoring everything as the bots give highest priority to anything they are doing
and no-seeing-behind-the-walls AI would be impossible without modifying current AI majorly The bots could also try to find paths through teleporters
and through destroyable obstacles (glass)!
