Time is the difference... and the effort. So use your time well, and make tilesets for your maps. I think the tilesets will make the map more cool, yeah that's my tips and advice.
Some things you should keep in mind while mapping:

Use your custom tile set. (More interesting)
Whole map size less than 300KB.
For GFX, images, sprites use .png format.
For SFX, sounds use well compressed .ogg format.
Best map dimensions 20*20 - 60*60 (more is useless, unless floors)

I am creating Maps for CS2d and i like do that. If you want maps you will request and i will create it for you. If you really need you can give me your custom tileset for me

Use these entities func_delay and env_explode in order to make something explode on time... also... you'd want to add trigger_start to start a entity basicly.
func_delay? You mean trigger_delay.
I never knew there was a mapping tutorial at CS2D.com, but cool!
I'd love part IV would be ready, I really need trigger tuts!
